This winter has been somewhat inscrutable, hopping back and forth between unseasonably high temps and out-of-nowhere snow storms. So the arrival of spring, while pleasant usually, is incredibly satisfying this year. Hopefully we've made it out of the woods and into warmer climes.
Before heading to Chicago last weekend I realized that it was my first trip out of town since the New Year. Needless to say, I was due for a trip. For Christmas my boyfriend gave me a pair of tickets to see Vince Staples in Chicago, feeling cooped up we decided to make a weekend of it.
We ate plenty of good food, saw a lot of different neighborhoods, finally visited Garfield Park Conservatory. Luckily the temps made their switch before our arrival too. All in all a delightful trip & great way to start the new season.
